Hey fellow mommies! I feel like I'm stuck in a rut when it comes to feeding Sophia. I need some recipes - can you girls help me out? Her grandmother has been buying her those "Kid Cuisines" when she has her on Mondays and I really don't want her to have those. Who knows what they put into those "chicken" nuggets. I want to make her some so I can just send those with her when she goes to the grandparents and also to have on hand...

What do you feed your 18 month olds?

Lots of peas.

My son loved string cheese (cut into very small peices) and avocado.

Try baking a whole chicken, lightly spiced, in the oven, then pick the meat into small peices.

Apple sauce (home made or otherwise) was always popular.

Steamed Caulifower and Broccoli mashed with a small dollup of sour cream mixed in always pleased.

Quesadillas, when child has molars. Nice thing about Quesadillas is that you can put spinich or chicken in them to give them a bit more nutrition.

Cottage cheese with fruit.

Yogurt.

Some kids like those mini raviolies you can get in the fresh pasta section. You can make your own sauce or use none as you and your child prefer. My son was not keen on them.

Tofu is usually a hit...depending on how you make it. Kids (in my experience) seem to prefer the silken soft.

CousCous with raisens.

Steel cut oats with raisens and cinnamon.

Hope that helps...Sorry for the delay.
